Here's what some more people had to say about
the Omega Children series.

"...amazing book..."

“Theo Hoyte”

It was an amazing book and when I finished the first one I Immediately reached for the second.

"...mystery..."

“Lucas Johansen”

I am emailing you to say I loved how descriptive the book was and how much mystery it had.

"...like I was reading a new classic..."

“Jeannine Buntrock”

Loved this book. I felt like I was reading a new classic and found it difficult to put down. The characters were very well developed and came alive before my eyes. This author is one I definitely plan to read again – looking forward to the continued adventure and seeing all mysteries revealed.

"...easy to read - hard to put down..."

“Jo Davey”

Very easy to read and very hard to put down! Great to find a book that pulled me in and made me feel like a character in the story. If you’re looking for a book that gives you chuckles, suspense, empathy and leaves you with a cliff-hanger. I completely recommend this book. Am looking forward to getting my hands on and reading book 2.

"...great first novel..."

"...promising children's writer."

“Stephanie Young”

This is a great first novel from a promising children’s writer. I didn’t realise how much I enjoyed it until I started to miss the ‘place’ I went to whilst engaged in the novel – and that is a great sign. Mason has created an alternative world that these children are ‘adventuring’ in. There are core principles which I loved, the kids have a spirituality about them that is felt, not described. I am looking forward to my child being old enough to share this with, and have a copy ready to give my 12 year old nephew for his upcoming birthday.

I’m glad it is a series, and look forward to reading the second book in the saga.

"Lively...vivid picture.

"Feels unconventional - breath of fresh air."

“Nikita (NJKinneys World of Books & Stuff)”

The first thing that attracted me to this book was the cover which is presented like a high adventure comic book cover and promises high drama and action. Beautiful and eye-catching, it appeals to the reader at first glance. The story is of four cousins and their misadventures while on the mission to find their missing parents. Shane creates a lively and vivid picture of a setting set amidst beauty and nature. The characters are down to earth people and although their situations are very fantastical yet they are able to connect with the reader.

The story starts slowly but soon picks up pace to give many nail-biting moments. The plot is novel and unconventional and feels like a breath of fresh air. I loved the story and the cousins. They made me relive my days of reading Secret Seven and the Famous Five.

…..The Omega Children: The return of the Marauders- Book 1 is a very engaging read from a very promising author and sure to prove a great timepass on a holiday. I give it a 4 out of 5 and look forward to reading more from the author. A very promising start to a very interesting series, if you love books with fantasy, adventure and drama then this book is for you.

I received the book from the author to read and review and I am very thankful to him. The above review is my honest and unbiased opinion and in no way influenced.

"...hooked me...left me wanting more..."

“Sandi Clapperton”

When I opened this book I didn’t know what to expect but from the opening page this book had me hooked and left me wanting more. I read a lot of books and this definitely was in the same league for me as Harry Potter and Twilight. I thoroughly recommend this book !!

"...exciting plot - brilliant characters..."

“Daring Donna”

I am an avid reader and read a heap of books in this genre. I finished the book about 2 weeks ago and the characters are still very much alive, which is a sign of an excellent story, exciting plot and brilliant characters. The Omega Children go places we can only imagine and that to me is an amazing read. Awesome for young readers and adults alike. Would love to see the story on the big screen too. Well done to the author.

"...really like the characters you created in the four children..."

“Marcia M.”

…..I really like the characters you created in the four children and allowing them to express themselves in all of that – the weaknesses and strengths….I loved the concept of keeping to the play and using the costumes to be in one’s imagination and creativity as much as possible, not letting things get too serious or out of balance.

It gives me new fresh energy with my daughter and seeing her play things out in her world as so important for her integration of things. Thanks for the reminder! I loved the courage and strength that the children had together and how they managed to stay grounded even when they learnt of their parents’ death. Hmmm lots of good insights there.
